Jonathan Gillespie joined the School as Headmaster in September 2014, and so will have completed ten academic years here upon retirement, following eight years in his previous headship. During this time there has been significant progress made at the School, with considerable development of the curriculum, of pastoral care and wellbeing, and of facilities, with pupil numbers growing to a record level and academic results going from strength to strength. All this was amply demonstrated in the excellent report on the recent ISI inspection.

Neil Osborn, Chairman of Governors, said: "I hope that we can come together to reflect on and celebrate these successes over the year, but in the meantime, I thank him warmly for his dedicated leadership of the School over the last decade and wish him and Caroline well for a long and happy retirement when it comes at the end of the next academic year. I know that it will be 'business as usual' from Jonathan until then."

The process to appoint Jonathan's successor has already started and further information will be shared when the process is complete.
