The St Albans School Foundation was established in 2008 with the aim of raising funds in support of the School in three main areas:

  • The Bursary Fund, which aims to provide access to St Albans School for young people who would be unable to take up their place here without financial assistance
  • Special Projects, which provide School departments with additional resources that can make a real and immediate benefit to School life. For example, new equipment for the fitness suite, microscopy equipment for the Biology department, and 3D printers for the DT department
  • Capital Developments, which include a number of building projects on the School site, such as the Corfield Building and the Music SchoolThe Foundation is run from the School’s Development Office, and has raised almost £10m since its launch in 2008.

"The St Albans School Foundation plays a vital role in the provision of an excellent education at St Albans School. The contributions from parents, Old Albanians and other friends within our community have made an important difference to the facilities and fabric of the School as well as enabling local young students to benefit from a St Albans School education via our bursary (fee assistance) scheme. Bursaries are an important focus of our fundraising and I hope you will consider supporting us for the benefit of future generations of students.”Sir Roy Gardner, Former Chairman of Governors

St Albans School Foundation has recently launched its Bursary Fund campaign, which aims to provide more transformational opportunities for local young people whose parents wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford our fees.
